Abstract

Even if we understand the cultural dimensions, the practical challenges of an international team involving India remain the same: How do you inspire each other? How do you communicate? How do you ensure quality and deadlines? How do you avoid cost overruns? How do you resolve disagreements and disputes? In chapter 1.2, we looked at the big picture of mtercultural dimensions; this chapter studies what happens at the workplace when people from different (Western) cultures interact with Indian colleagues.
