Zusammenfassung
Fortschritte in der Entwicklung von hochmodernen, leistungsfähigen Computertomographen mit deutlich verbesserter zeitlicher und räumlicher Auflösung führten dazu, dass die Kontrastmittelapplikation ein zunehmend kritisches Element bei der kontrastmittelverstärkten CT-koronarangiographie darstellt. So müssen die Kontrastmittelprotokolle mit jeder neuen Generation von Computertomographen angepasst werden, zumal eine optimale Kontrastierung des Herzens und der Koronararterien und somit eine perfekte zeitliche Abstimmung zwischen Kontrastmittelapplikation und Beginn der Bildakquisition für die erfolgreiche Durchführung einer CT-Koronarangiographie unverzichtbar sind.
