Abstract
This chapter gives a brief outline of the embryology of the renal tract and discusses anomalies of position and fusion of the kidneys, renal agenesis and anomalies in renal size. It also discusses in detail the various types of congenital renal cystic disease and the causes of congenital renal collecting system dilatation.
