Abstract
Als führendes deutsches Mikroelektronikunternehmen entwickelt und produziert Infineon Technologies die technologische Basis für die Automobilelektronik, Telekommunikation, Chipkarten, Sicherheitsanwendungen und nicht zuletzt energieeffiziente Leistungselektronik. Nach der Ausgliederung des Speichergeschäfts in das eigenständige Unternehmen Qimonda – weltweit die Nummer 3 bei Speicherbausteinen – hat Infineon rund 30 000 Mitarbeiter, einen Jahresumsatz von etwa 4 Milliarden Euro und weit über 20 000 Patente.
