Abstract
Let us examine the effect of multiple 90° pulses spaced at equal time intervals, called TR or repetition time (Fig. 18). If TR > 3T1 (long TR), the tissue is given plenty of time to regain full strength of its longitudinal magnetization (M0). If TR < T1 (short TR), tissue Mz stops very short of M0, and is forced to a new steady state called partial saturation.
