After assessing the different growth theories in chapter 2 and the different candidate variables in chapters 4 through 8 and after evaluating the empirical techniques, I now have all ingredients for the two-stage estimation approach. The emphasis in this chapter is on the result of pair-wise cointegration that was derived from different theories in chapter 2.
