Abstract

Many outsourcing agreements are typically predicated on cost savings, usually achieved by transferring work and sometime the staff who undertake such work to an outsourcing service provider. In EU countries, legislation provides certain rights to those employees being transferred. This chapter discusses the implications for companies who may be considering transferring staff to the outsourcing service provider.
