Abstract

What is the intention and purpose of design? Why are we bothered with designing? The answer is obvious: emotion and sensibility. It is the design that animates a product and imparts or lends meaning to form. Design is communication. Therefore, car designers must think long and hard about which form of communication, traffic and transport (which is a form of communication in itself) will shape the future and which form of communication will match the human need and desire structure of the future.
