Abstract

A gastrointestinal (GI) duplication is a congenital malformation, defined by (1972) as a “spherical or elongated hollow structure that has a wall of smooth muscle, is lined by a mucous membrane similar to some part of the alimentary canal, and is usually attached to some part of the alimentary tube”.
