The aim of this paper is to indicate ways in which organizational information resources can be managed in an integrated fashion. Although the emphasis in this opening session of the conference is on theoretical aspects, the approaches presented here have, either individually, or collectively, formed the basis of practical applications for information management in a wide variety of situations encountered by SD-Scicon.
