Zusammenfassung

Die westliche Welt, die den Kern der internationalen Gemeinschaft bildet, wird gerne so vorgestellt, als ob sie alle Frühformen der Außenbeziehungen, wie etwa kriegerisch-nationale Gegensätze oder den Imperialismus, hinter sich gelassen hätte. Man könnte dies natürlich auch einfach umkehren und behaupten, dass all dies in Wirklichkeit gerade Imperialismus — bzw. heutzutage: „Empire“ — ist.
