Zusammenfassung

In der unübersehbaren Flut jugendsoziologischer und adoleszenztheoretischer Literatur, nahm das Thema Jugend — Familie bisher — z.B. verglichen mit der Forschung über Kind — Familie — einen bescheidenen Platz ein. Ein Blick in die Handbücher und Reader der 60er Jahre bis in die 80er Jahre zur Sozialisationsforschung oder zur Institution der Familie macht deutlich, daß man sich des Themas familialer Sozialisation von Jugendlichen gar nicht (vgl. Bell/Vogel 1968, Adams 1980. Hurrelmann/Ulich 1980. Adelson 1980) oder nur am Rande annimmt (vgl. Goslin 1971, Tippelt 1984). Ich möchte im folgenden zunächst die möglichen Gründe für die bisherige relative Vernachlässigung der familialen Sozialisation von Jugendlichen erörtern.
