Zusammenfassung
Der Organisationsmodellierung, verstanden als Teil der frühen Anforderungsanalyse, kommt eine maßgebliche Bedeutung für den Erfolg der Entwicklung und des Einsatzes von Informationssystemen zu. Misserfolge bei der Entwicklung von Informationssystemen, die trotz der Anwendung rigoroser Modellierungsmethoden regelmäßig auftreten, weisen darauf hin, dass die den Methoden zugrunde liegenden Präsuppositionen einer kritischen Prüfung bedürfen. Eine Präsuppositionsanalyse im Sinne einer Betrachtung methodologischer Aspekte der Organisationsmodellierung trägt nicht nur dazu bei, die methodologischen Defizite von Methoden aufzudecken, sondern liefert gleichzeitig eine methodologische Fundierung der Organisationsmodellierung. Vor dem Hintergrund eines mit einem methodologischen Pluralismus einhergehenden postmodernen Wissenschaftsverständnisses ergibt sich die Notwendigkeit, zwecks Vermeidung der Vermischung inkommensurabler Präsuppositionen eine paradigmatische Fundierung vorzunehmen. Aufbauend auf Burrells und Morgans Konzeptualisierung soziologischer Paradigmen werden das erkenntnistheoretische Paradigma des soziopragmatischen Konstruktivismus vorgestellt und anhand einer Interpretation der Theorie semantischer Stufen Stachowiaks ein entsprechendes Verständnis der Organisationsmodellierung skizziert.
