Abstract

Cor pulmonale is a particular condition secondary to lung dysfunction often not so well investigated.

This pathology is characteristic condition of a part of COPD patients, and it can become an important component of their status.

For its complex geometry, the echocardiographic measures of the right ventricle are not simple, novel techniques as tissue Doppler, strain, and strain rate can help echocardiographer to evaluate better the right ventricular function.
