Abstract
What goals will humanity pursue with technology? One possible answer is longevity. Imagine the average human life span increasing by a few decades. What if this happened in one go for all of humanity? What if it happened for a privileged few only? How would the advent of longevity impact societal values? To grasp the implications of such a substantial event on remembering and forgetting, I outline a “scenery” of future values in front of which related legislation may occur.
