Abstract

Video capsule endoscopy (VCE), also called wireless capsule endoscopy, is a significant advancement in gastrointestinal (GI) imaging. VCE is a novel technique for the evaluation of the small bowel in patients presenting with obscure gastrointestinal bleeding (OGIB). This method is also used effectively for the evaluation of other conditions. In this chapter, we discuss the potential uses of VCE, interpretation, and practical utility of this device.
