Abstract
The popularity of breast implants means that radiologists need to have a profound knowledge of normal images and their alterations, as well as breast pathologies and how they manifest in women with implants.
This is why, although at first this might not seem like a relevant topic, it is of great importance as more and more women are getting breast implants.
We cannot rest on the fact that resonances are the best technique to diagnose women with breast implants; we believe that is not true and that the choice to use MRIs in women with implants is, in good measure, driven by incorrect ultrasound diagnoses as a result, precisely, of lack of knowledge from the physician who carried out the study.
