Transsphenoidal Surgery

Abstract

The complex and intricate anatomy of the sella turcica and parasellar region of the skull base serves as a host to a diverse variety of pathologies. Imaging is paramount in diagnosing these pathologies and preventing transshpenoidal surgery complications by accurately and precisely characterizing sella and parasellar pathologies prior to surgery. This chapter will focus on the preoperative imaging of frequently encountered sella and parasellar pathologies.
