Abstract
Chapter 7 is a bibliographical review of the different approaches to the study of saints in the history of research. It points out that most of saint studies are informed by a Christian orientation and that the greater part of them are historical in nature. It considers saint studies in some specific contexts, such as philosophical discussion and comparative studies of saints.
