Abstract

A detailed description of core arterial anatomy of the head and neck region is provided. Arteries are the most common routes for embolisation and recanalisation procedures. This tutorial provides the detailed knowledge needed for their navigation and for delivering treatments. The reader is introduced to a level of detail needed for the safe practice of such endovascular therapies. Overlaps between vascular territories and collateral routes of blood supply are explained. The descriptions are tailored in a practical approach to show how a series of major and minor arteries are integrated to supply blood to the internal and external structures of the cranium.
