Abstract
Traumatic injuries of the urogenital tract occur in about 5% of all combat-associated injuries and are often associated with penetrating abdominal injuries or devastating damage to the lower extremities and the pelvis. Common mechanisms of such injuries are blast injuries from explosions and crush injuries, mainly to the pelvis, due to combat vehicles.
