Abstract
Neurophysiological tests are performed, frequently in partnership with a neurologist to determine the eloquence of the part of brain being considered for surgical or endovascular intervention. For reliable results, sometimes highly selective microcatheterization is needed. Sodium Amytal is used during WADA test. It can be followed by lidocaine, if axonal (in addition to neuronal) activity suppression is also desired.
