Abstract
In recent years, the relationship between diabetes and cirrhosis, distinct from nonalcoholic liver fatty liver disease (NAFLD), has become increasingly recognized. In addition, a significant amount of experience with diabetes in the setting of liver transplantation has accumulated. In this chapter, we will examine the relationship between diabetes and cirrhosis and provide an overview of diabetes in the liver transplantation setting.
