Abstract

This thesis has been an investigation of the large-scale tangle formed by vortices of the complex phase in wave chaos, as realised via random superpositions of high-energy degenerate eigenfunctions in different systems. We review here the key results from each of the previous Chapters, and briefly discuss the wider scientific context for this investigation.
