Abstract

As large road network and housing areas increased, the roles of emergency services are more demanding. But the infrastructures of road networks are weak in many developing countries. During the emergency cases (e.g. Accident or Fire), there is a great need to find out the closest emergency services and the optimal route for rapidly available facilities. According to the weak road network infrastructure, there are some difficulties for Emergency Vehicles. In some townships, there are narrow and close roads. If the drivers mistakenly choose these roads, it can cause problems and delays. The best route between the location of emergency services and accident is very useful and provide to minimize the loss of life and property in the event of fire. In the proposed system, modified Dijkstra’s algorithm is applied to find optimal route by avoiding by close and narrow roads for emergency vehicles.
