Abstract
This chapter will briefly assess the literature base regarding the prevention of mass and serial murder. Also discussed will be homicidal ideation, unanswered scholarly questions regarding homicide prevention, how mental health courts might be averting tragedies and future directions for the field. Conclusion and suggestions for action are included.
