Abstract
Abdominoplasty was the fourth most common cosmetic surgical procedure in 2014. The procedure is performed in both men and women and requires transposition of the umbilicus within the umbilical flap. While the umbilicus size, shape, and location vary from person to person, few studies address the characteristics of the umbilicus with precise measurements. Our group previously published our findings on the average size and position of the umbilicus in young men and women.
