Abstract
DNA is bursting with information, and we’re just now at a point in human history where we can take advantage of it. The genetic code, now that we understand it, is quite straightforward, at least in its basics: the 20 amino acids in proteins, as well as special instructions for starting and stopping, are encoded in a linear string of four types of DNA nucleotides. Once you know the sequence of the DNA, you know the sequence of the protein. Well, almost, there are still many oddities and exceptions that add much color and diversity to life. But at the core, there is the genetic code of codons and antico dons.
