Abstract

This thesis has presented observational experiments to address theoretical predictions on the influence of AGN on the evolution of galaxies. This chapter summarises the main results from the work presented in this thesis and the main outstanding issues that are still to be addressed. On-going and future projects, to address these outstanding issues are described, along with some of the preliminary results, in the following chapter.
