Abstract
This chapter gives detailed information on the analysis of the two-photon decay experiment. The raw data is saved on hard disk in list mode files. The relevant information, like time and energy of the corresponding events, are extracted using the data unpacker ucesb (Johansson, The ucesb unpacker generator, 2010, [1]) and is written in a ‘root-tree’ of the data analysis framework root (Root webpage, http://root.cern.ch/drupal/, [2]). This software package was used to further process and analyze the data. In the second part of this chapter the results of the experiment are presented. An analysis of the time difference spectrum is presented to prove that the origin of the observed peak is due to the two-photon decay.
