Abstract

The advances in Internet and mobile technologies changed the way how people access, use and share information. Social media tools arose and now provide manifold opportunities to share information or encourage social networking and communication [4]. As a motivation, this part of the book provides insights into the possibilities, social media can provide to healthcare. In this chapter a brief overview on the authors of medical social media, their information needs and the content they are providing in the web is provided.
