Abstract
Ménétrier disease is a rare condition characterized clinically by edema caused by hypoalbuminemia and endoscopically by hypertrophy of the gastric mucosal folds. Contrary to adults, it is a benign transient condition in children, frequently secondary to cytomegalovirus infection.
