Abstract

Place/transition Petri nets (P/T PN) and timed Petri nets (TPN) are used here in order to model the attendance of industrial robot on two devices of a manufacturing system producing two different kinds of artifacts. Firstly, P/T PN are used to model the particular procedures of producing the individual artifacts by means of the robot and their joint into the single procedure without any deadlock and infeasibility. Then, the times expressing the duration of separate operation are assigned to the P/T PN transitions. In such a way the TPN model is obtained. It allows to test the performance evaluation of the system.
