Abstract
Cardiac rehabilitation is believed to be a key aspect in restoring the quality of life and to maintain or improve functional capacity of cardiac patients after an acute event. The Heartways project is an European project whose target is to develop an advanced modular solution for supporting cardiac patients in rehabilitation outside a medicalized centre with the aid of wearable sensors and intelligent algorithms that personalize the management and the follow-up for patients and professionals. In this paper we introduce the personalized cardiovascular risk prediction module of Heartways. Preliminary results using public and private databases are also presented for the individual sub-modules that constitute the proposed solution.
