Abstract
Studies of parallel kinematics are for a long time an outstanding source of successful results within the mechanical departments and specialized research centers like CESTER and DSS, at the Technical University Cluj-Napoca. The chapter offers an overview on some results oriented on the Medical & Service robots with the relevant extensions in defining the opening for applications that may be used for medical or for service robots. In the first stage is considered the educational (training) aspects and how the robots facilities can be used for people connected with the flight training, retraining or differently for medical and/or psychological treatments. From the service point of view the same facilities can be adapted and reprogrammed for testing the behavior of technical devices or biological experiments in extreme conditions. Configurability gains importance if the robot is being used in service mode as an “autonomic partner” in aerospace applications.
