Zusammenfassung
Die häufigste Ursache einer Anosmie dürfte in der gutachterlichen Praxis ein Schädel-Hirn-Trauma sein. Typisch ist ein okzipitaler oder frontaler Schädelanprall, beispielsweise beim Leiter-, Pferd- oder Gerüststurz oder beim Ausrutschen auf eisglattem Bürgersteig; nicht selten sind auch Stürze in alkoholisiertem Zustand. Beschrieben sind auch Anosmien bei Boxern und anderen Kampfsportlern; hingegen ist ein Anprall an einer Kopfstütze oder der frontale Aufprall auf einen Airbag als auslösendes Moment untypisch. Auch nach Nasenbein-oder frontoethmoidalen Frakturen sind Riechstörungen möglich.
