Mit diesem Kapitel treten wir ein in die eigentliche Welt der Analysis, die zu einem wesentlichen Teil auf dem Begriff der Konvergenz aufgebaut ist. Dieser erlaubt uns in gewissem Sinne, unendlich viele (Rechen-)Operationen durchzuführen, was die Analysis von der Algebra unterscheidet.
