Application of Holomorphic Functions in Two and Higher Dimensions

Abstract

The classical Maxwell equations were discovered in the second half of the 19th century as a result of the stormy development of research in electricity and magnetism. The study of these questions has attracted generations of physicists and mathematicians, yet some of their secrets are still hidden. Adopting a historical point of view, we will use several concepts for the representation of Maxwell equations and a proposal for a solution theory within a quaternionic calculus.
