Abstract

This essay examines a selection of the scientific works of Dario Graffi and frame them within the historical period of his life. The selection is restricted to a some papers, essentially those with the more outstanding results, which though are enough to show why Dario Graffi has been an eminent mathematical physicist of the last century. The essay ends with a biography.
