Abstract
Visceral sensitivity is a complex phenomenon that is regarded as a key pathophysiological factor in children with disorders of brain-gut interaction. Techniques developed in adults have been adapted to children making possible measures of visceral sensory thresholds of stomach and colon. This chapter reviews the barostat technique and the satiety drinking tests.
