Implementation of an Opensource Virtual Desktop Infrastructure System Based on Ovirt and Openuds

Abstract

This article shows the implementation of a virtualization infrastructure using the opensource tools oVirt and OpenUDS for the deployment of virtual laboratories; to measure the performance of hard disk drivers on the workload of virtual machines in the use of virtual laboratories. This research was done with the purpose of shed some light on hard disk drivers’ performance to know which driver gives better performance in the stress testing of an environment of a virtual laboratory.
