Abstract
After finishing a research project, the goal is to then share and communicate the findings to your colleagues. It is important to choose the right meeting for the project, and choose an appropriate format for presentation. The abstract should be well written and convey all the essential items concisely. Presentation skills can be learned, practiced, and improved upon. An oral presentation should conform to the time allowed, and there should not be too many words on one slide. You should also be prepared for questions and discussion. This is a great time to stimulate further direction in the project and improve it prior to publication.
Getting research published in good peer-reviewed journals should be the goal. This adds a stamp of quality to your work. It is important to get feedback from all your co-authors and incorporate it into the manuscript. Care should be taken to pick the correct journal that is best suited to the type of research and audience. The formatting should be done correctly, according to the instructions for authors. If the article is accepted, it will most likely require some revisions, and it is important to go through them point by point.
Best of luck on your publishing journey!
