Abstract
It is not enough to be an excellent clinician and surgeon. In our current medical environment, knowledge about documentation, electronic health records, informed consent, and medicolegal issues is also required. Optimizing communication with patients, family members, nurses, and office staff is critical to maintain a healthy workplace environment and minimize risks. This chapter focuses on tips to prevent patient complications and avoid medicolegal issues.
