Abstract
In this initial chapter, the reader will learn how to download, install and use the Code::Blocks Integrated Development Environment. The reader will then write, compile and run his/her first C program. The chapter also covers the basic anatomy of a C program that includes the main() function, pre-processor directives, and comment lines. After executing this chapter, the reader should be able to write very simple C programs in Code::Blocks.
