Abstract
The paper focuses on the issues related to the functioning of the state based on the sustainable development concept. The need for the implementation of this concept is based on the balance of the life of humanity in the environment, economy, and social sphere. The importance of taking into account human potential and the need for the formation and implementation of the concepts of “green economy” and “green growth” are substantiated. The authors formulate the main priorities for the sustainable development of Russia at the present stage and consider a set of tools that contribute to the transition to the path of “green growth.”
