Abstract
Costs have previously been exposed as a key factor in assessing the adoption of cloud and serverless computing, but there are other financial considerations related to this technology. For example: How is it possible to save or make money by using cloud services for research? Where is the potential? What factors should be considered to properly address the migration of services instead of an initial setup from scratch? In this chapter, we shed light on these questions.
