Abstract

Infertility is defined as failure of conception after 1 year of regular intercourse without use of contraception. Infertility is a complex medical topic that comprises several therapeutic, ethical, legal, and psychosocial aspects. Despite advances in diagnostic methods, approximately 25–30% of cases are unexplained. In this chapter, we will discuss causes of infertility and work-up of and management options of infertile couple.
