Abstract

We discuss the first 8 hours of care of the critically injured patient in the trauma center. In these first 8 hours, the radiologic workup of the patient is often completed, you are receiving your first specialty recommendations, critical operations are performed, and often a tertiary survey is performed to ensure that no injuries are missed.
