Abstract

In the previous chapter, we covered a large number of image processing operators that take as input one or more images and produce some filtered or transformed version of these images. In many situations, however, we are given incomplete data as input, such as depths at a sparse number of locations, or user scribbles suggesting how an image should be colorized or segmented (Fig. 4.1c–d).
