Abstract
The digital economy development has a great impact on existing economic systems and predefines the necessity of identification of the new business-consumers-state interaction models and patterns. Today’s information flows in all areas emphasize the need to find appropriate methods and approaches to the structure optimization and research field determination. This article aims to identify prospective sharing economy development areas based on a bibliometric analysis. In the course of our research, we applied the CiteSpaceV software that enabled us to determine promising research areas based on the co-citation analysis as well as to visualize scientific vectors. The Web of Science information base was selected for picking up publications, reflecting various sharing economy development features in the period from 2010 to 2018. As a result of the study, key sharing economy development vectors have been defined: web, to-peer renting, business model friend, future research, to-peer economy system, transforming consumption, collaborative network, and authentic economy system.
Research areas, structured based on the Web of Science publications, can be a backbone for predicting promising research areas.
